I definitely get help when I need it. When I first started creating a trafficking schedule for the South Bay family YMCA I had no idea on what the format for that schedule was going to look like, I was completely lost. I would always see co-workers or staff doing things on their own and when they needed help with something they didn’t hesitate. I was pretty nervous at first because I didn’t want to seem like I needed help on an assignment I was just given but I had to do something about that. I asked my mentor Tina if she could explain what the schedule would look like and she verbally explained it to me. It did help a little but, I wanted to seem independent so I told her I would just start it and if I had any questions I would tell her. That ended up going very good because I had more confidence since I knew it wasn’t going to be good at first. it would be okay because I would be getting my work corrected as I worked. I have never had a problem getting my voice heard no matter how "bad" the question is, If I need help I will get it. I rather get the help early before it is too late. I think I have been an Intern you can look up too because I am always trying to stay on task and be helpful whenever I can. I am never not just sitting down doing nothing, I always try to help everyone even if they are not staff members. I am also trying to get involved becoming a Lifeguard for the YMCA, so I’m pretty sure I am staying committed to my work and more. I am still trying to stay busy everyday so I shall be good.
